Life's Journey

Life's journey is a winding road,
With twists and turns, we don't foreknow,
Yet through it all, we walk with faith,
And trust in God to guide our pace.

Though sometimes we may stumble and fall,
And tears may come, and we may bawl,
We know that He is always near,
To wipe away each falling tear.

So let us journey on in hope,
With hearts full of faith and love,
And know that though the road is long,
God's grace will carry us along.

The Beauty of Life

The beauty of life is all around us,
In the simple things that can be found,
In the smile of a child, the touch of a hand,
In the warmth of the sun on a golden strand.

It's in the song of the birds in the trees,
The rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze,
In the laughter of friends, the love of family,
In the beauty of God's creation, so grand and so lovely.

So let us cherish each precious day,
And live life to the fullest in every way,
And know that though the journey may be long,
God's love and grace will make us strong.

Life's Purpose

Life's purpose is not just to exist,
But to thrive and grow and persist,
To seek out God's will in all we do,
And to share His love with others too.

For we are called to be a light,
To shine in the darkness and dispel the night,
To bring hope and healing to those in need,
And to plant the seeds of faith and deed.

So let us live our lives with purpose and meaning,
And let our hearts be ever leaning,
Towards the One who gives us life,
And who guides us through both joy and strife.

Grace Abounds

Grace abounds, a gift so sweet,
From our Lord who we entreat,
Forgiveness for all our wrongs,
And the love that keeps us strong.

Through the trials of this life,
We will face both joy and strife,
But His grace will see us through,
And our faith in Him renews.

So let us praise His holy name,
And His mercy we proclaim,
For His grace is all we need,
In this life and for eternity.

The Cross

The cross, a symbol of our hope,
A sign of love and grace bestowed,
A sacrifice that paid the price,
For all our sins and all our vice.

Upon that rugged wooden frame,
Our Savior took our guilt and shame,
And in His death, He set us free,
From the chains of sin and misery.

So let us fix our eyes on Him,
And run the race until the end,
For in His cross, we find our strength,
And in His love, we find our peace.

Eternal Life

Eternal life, a gift divine,
Through faith in Christ, we are defined,
No longer slaves to sin and death,
But heirs of grace, with every breath.

For in His death and in His rise,
We find the hope that never dies,
A promise of eternal bliss,
And a love that nothing can dismiss.

So let us live our lives for Him,
And share His love with all within,
For in His name, we find our joy,
And in His truth, we find our buoy.

[1]. "The Love of God" by Frederick M. Lehman

The Love of God is a timeless Christian poem that has been set to music and sung by generations of Christians. It is a powerful reminder of the depth and breadth of God's love for us, a love that is beyond comprehension and beyond measure.

"The Love of God"
by Frederick M. Lehman

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

[2]. "Journey of the Magi" by T.S. Eliot

Journey of the Magi is a well-known Christian poem by T.S. Eliot that tells the story of the journey of the Three Wise Men to Bethlehem to see the newborn Jesus. The poem explores the themes of faith, doubt, and the difficulty of believing in something that cannot be seen.

"Journey of the Magi"
by T.S. Eliot

'A cold coming we had of it,
Just the worst time of the year
For a journey, and such a long journey:
The ways deep and the weather sharp,
The very dead of winter.'
And the camels galled, sorefooted, refractory,
Lying down in the melting snow.
There were times we regretted
The summer palaces on slopes, the terraces,
And the silken girls bringing sherbet.

Then the camel men cursing and grumbling
And running away, and wanting their liquor and women,
And the night-fires going out, and the lack of shelters,
And the cities hostile and the towns unfriendly
And the villages dirty and charging high prices:
A hard time we had of it.
At the end we preferred to travel all night,
Sleeping in snatches,
With the voices singing in our ears, saying
That this was all folly.

Then at dawn we came down to a temperate valley,
Wet, below the snow line, smelling of vegetation;
With a running stream and a water-mill beating the darkness,
And three trees on the low sky,
And an old white horse galloped away in the meadow.
Then we came to a tavern with vine-leaves over the lintel,
Six hands at an open door dicing for pieces of silver,
And feet kicking the empty wine-skins.
But there was no information, and so we continued
And arrived at evening, not a moment too soon
Finding the place; it was (you may say) satisfactory.

All this was a long time ago, I remember,
And I would do it again, but set down
This set down
This: were we led all that way for
Birth or Death? There was a Birth, certainly
We had evidence and no doubt. I had seen birth and death,
But had thought they were different; this Birth was
Hard and bitter agony for us, like Death, our death.
We returned to our places, these Kingdoms,
But no longer at ease here, in the old dispensation,
With an alien people clutching their gods.
I should be glad of another death.

[3]. "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go" by George Matheson

O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go is a beautiful Christian poem that speaks to the steadfastness of God's love for us, even when we feel lost or alone. The poem was written by George Matheson, a Scottish minister who was blinded at a young age, and it has been set to music and sung in churches around the world.

"O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go"
by George Matheson

O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O Light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.

O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.

[1]. "Footprints in the Sand" by Mary Stevenson

This popular poem tells the story of a person walking along the beach with God and noticing that during the most difficult times in their life, there is only one set of footprints. The person asks God why He abandoned them during those times, but God responds that He was actually carrying them. The poem offers reassurance that even when we cannot see God's presence, He is always with us.

"Footprints in the Sand"
by Mary Stevenson

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

[2]. "The Weaver" by Grant Colfax Tullar

"The Weaver" is a poem that compares the trials and challenges of life to a tapestry being woven by God. The speaker notes that from the underside, the tapestry looks chaotic and confusing, but when turned over, it reveals a beautiful and intricate design. The poem reminds us that God is always working in our lives, even during the most difficult times, and that everything is part of a larger plan.

"The Weaver"
by Grant Colfax Tullar

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colours
He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skilful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern, He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares,
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives His very best to those
Who leaves the choice with Him.

[3]. "Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep" by Mary Elizabeth Frye

The poem encourages the reader to find peace in the beauty of nature and to remember that the departed are still with us in spirit. Its message of hope and reassurance has made it a popular choice for funerals and other occasions of mourning.

"Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep"
by Mary Elizabeth Frye:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

by John Newton

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

"The Love of God"
by Frederick M. Lehman

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

"God Moves in a Mysterious Way"
by William Cowper

God moves in a mysterious way,

Deep in unfathomable mines

He treasures up His bright designs,
And works His sovereign will.

"The Touch of the Master's Hand"
by Myra Brooks Welch

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile.

"What am I bid, good folks?" he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?"
"A dollar, a dollar"; then "two!" "Only two?
Two dollars, and who'll make it three?"

"Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
Going for three…" But no,
From the room, far back, a gray-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;

Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet,
As sweet as an angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said: "What am I bid for the old violin?"
And he held it up with the bow.

"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?
Two thousand! And who'll make it three?
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice,
And going and gone," said he.

The people cheered, but some of them cried,
"We do not quite understand,
What changed its worth?" Swift came the reply:
"The touch of a master's hand."

"Footprints in the Sand"
by Mary Stevenson

One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
There was only one set of footprints.
I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest time of my life.

This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord
about my dilemma.
"Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You,
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I just don't understand why, when I need You most,

Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,

"I Am With You"
by John Piper

When you're on the edge of the cliff
And you're looking out at the sea
And you're wondering if you can make it
And you're wondering if you can be free.

Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go
Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go.

When the storm clouds gather 'round you
And the lightning strikes at your feet
And you're wondering if you can weather
The winds that threaten to defeat.

Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go
Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go.

When you're lost in the dark of the night
And you can't find your way back home
And you're wondering if you're forsaken
And you're wondering if you're alone.

Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go
Just remember that I am with you
And I will never let you go.

A New Creation

I was lost in the darkness of sin,
Bound by chains I could not break within.
But then, in my despair and my shame,
Jesus Christ, my Savior, called my name.

He lifted me up from the pit of despair,
And showed me a love beyond compare.
He set me free from the chains of sin,
And gave me a new life to begin.

Now I am a new creation in Christ,
My old self has passed away and died.
I am filled with His Spirit and His grace,
And I walk in His love every day.

So if you are lost and alone,
And your heart is heavy as a stone,
Just call on the name of the Lord,
And He will lift you up and restore you.

For He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life,
And in Him, there is no darkness or strife.
He will guide you and lead you through,
And make you a new creation, too.

 The Potter's Hands

I am but a vessel in the Potter's hands,
Moulded and shaped according to His plans.
Though at times it may be painful and hard,
I trust in His love, for He holds my heart.

He knows the flaws and the cracks in my soul,
And with His gentle touch, He makes me whole.
He smooths out the rough edges of my life,
And fills me with His peace and His light.

For He is the Master Craftsman, divine,
And in His hands, I know I will shine.
So I surrender all that I am,
To the Potter's hands, His perfect plan.

The Anchor of Hope

In the midst of life's storms and raging seas,
When the winds of doubt and fear bring me to my knees,
I cling to the Anchor of Hope, secure and strong,
And find in His love the comfort and the song.

For He is my Rock and my Fortress, my Shield,
And in His arms, I am safe and sealed.
He calms the stormy waves with a single word,
And in His presence, my soul is stirred.

So when the trials of life come crashing down,
And the weight of my burdens threatens to drown,
I lift up my eyes to the One who saves,
And find in His love the strength to be brave.

For He is the Anchor that holds me firm,
And in His love, I will never be harmed.
I trust in His promise, His faithful Word,
And know that in His love, I am assured.

Keep Pressing On

Life is full of twists and turns,
And often we may feel we'll never learn.
We wonder what's the point of trying,
And we feel like giving up and crying.

But in these moments of despair,
We must remember, God is always there.
He sees our struggles and our pain,
And He is with us, in sunshine and rain.

So when the road ahead is steep,
And we feel like we're in too deep,
We must keep pressing on and on,
With faith in God, our strength is renewed and strong.

For He has promised to be our guide,
And to walk with us, side by side.
He gives us the grace to face each day,
And leads us on the straight and narrow way.

So let us keep our eyes fixed on Him,
And trust that in His love, we'll always win.
With hearts full of hope and faith so true,
We'll overcome all things, and start anew.

Wings Like Eagles

Life can be so tiring, draining,
We feel like giving up and straining.
The weight of our troubles, it seems,
Has robbed us of our hopes and dreams.

But in these moments of despair,
We must remember, God is always there.
He has promised to renew our strength,
And give us wings like eagles, at length.

So let us trust in His power and might,
And soar above the troubles in sight.
Let us wait upon the Lord, and see,
The beauty and wonder of His majesty.

For in His presence, we find our rest,
And in His grace, we are truly blessed.
So let us rise up on wings so high,
And soar with Him, up in the sky.

A Light in the Darkness

The world can be so dark and cold,
We feel like we are all alone and old.
The troubles and pain we face each day,
Can make us wonder if we'll find our way.

But in these moments of despair,
We must remember, God is always there.
He is the light that shines in the night,
And guides us with His love and might.

So let us trust in His unfailing grace,
And seek His presence in every place.
For in His light, we find our way,
And in His love, we are here to stay.

Let us be the light that shines so bright,
And share His love with all in sight.
For in the darkness, we can be,
The light that guides others to see.

Christian Spoken Words. Christian spoken words are a form of poetry that seeks to convey messages of faith, hope, and love through spoken language. Christian spoken words can cover a wide range of topics, including personal testimonies, biblical stories, and reflections on faith and spirituality. They can be powerful tools for evangelism, encouraging believers to share their faith with others and inspiring non-believers to explore the message of the gospel. Through the use of vivid imagery, metaphor, and rhyme, Christian spoken words create an emotional connection with the listener, inviting them to experience the transformative power of God's love. Whether performed in a church setting or shared online, Christian spoken words have the potential to reach hearts and minds, touching lives and transforming souls.

The Potter's Hands

I am but a vessel, in the Potter's hands,
Moulded and shaped, according to His plans.
He knows my every weakness, every flaw,
Yet still, He chooses me, to carry out His law.

With gentle hands, He shapes and forms,
Making me into something new, and transformed.
He takes the broken pieces of my life,
And turns them into something beautiful and right.

So let me trust in the Potter's hands,
And believe that in His grace, I can stand.
For He has promised to make all things new,
And in His love, I know He will see me through.

Forgiven

I once was lost, in darkness deep,
My sins weighed heavy, and I could not sleep.
But then I heard the voice of love,
Calling out to me, from up above.

It was the voice of Jesus Christ,
Who came to save me, at any price.
He took my sins upon His own,
And in His love, I am now known.

For by His grace, I have been forgiven,
And in His mercy, I am now living.
No longer bound by guilt and shame,
I am free, in Jesus' name.

So let us lift our voices high,
And sing of Jesus, who came to die.
For in His love, we are set free,
And in His grace, we will forever be.

The Light of the World

Behold, the light of the world has come,
A shining star that illuminates everyone.
In the midst of darkness and despair,
He brings hope and loves that none can compare.

He is the light that leads us through the night,
A lamp unto our feet, a guide that is right.
In Him, we find the way, the truth, and the life,
And in His grace, we find rest from strife.

He came to the world as a humble babe,
Born in a manger, in a lowly state.
But He was no ordinary child,
For He was the son of God, meek and mild.

He walked among us, showing us the way,
Teaching us to love and to obey.
He healed the sick and gave sight to the blind,
And in His love, we find peace of mind.

He was crucified on a cross of wood,
Taking our sins, as only He could.
But death could not hold Him, for He rose again,
Conquering sin and death, and removing our stains.

Now, He is the light that shines in our hearts,
A beacon of hope that never departs.
Let us follow Him, in all that we do,
And let His light shine through us, too.

For we are called to be the light of the world,
Reflecting His love, in all that we've heard.
May our lives be a testimony of His grace,
And may we walk in His light, all our days.
